Husbands and Wives Prescription for a Successful Marriage By James C. Dobson, Ph.D. In an effort to draw on the experiences of those who have lived together successfully as husbands and wives, we asked married couples to participate in an informal study. More than 600 people agreed to speak candidly to the younger generation about the concepts and methods that have worked in their homes. They each wrote comments and recommendations that were carefully analyzed and compared. The advice they offered is not new, but it certainly represents a great place to begin. In attempting to learn any task, one should start with the fundamentals: those initial steps from which everything else will later develop. She had just discovered her five-year-old daughter Lana with her playmate Nate from next door with their clothes off. They were busily looking at and gently touching each other's genitals. Children Parenting the Wild Child By Miles McPherson Your number one goal is to begin developing a ministry to your child, one through which Jesus can transform his life. This cannot be illustrated more vividly than Jesus' encounter with the woman at the well (John 4:1-26). As you may recall, Jesus was sitting by a well when a woman from Samaria approached. He asked her for a drink. Now, in those days Jews and the Samaritans did not associate. In addition, public conversations were prohibited between men and women who were strangers. But Jesus broke all the man-made rules. He knew the woman had had five husbands. He knew that she needed the water of everlasting life, which only He could give. So instead of doing what was politically correct, instead of brushing her off as a harlot, he ministered to her according to her need. He knew and addressed her need in such a way that she could receive from Him and be blessed. Jesus' number one concern was for her salvation and freedom from her pain.
